Time saving tip...Drag your often used files, web sites, etc., to your lower tool bar. For instance, drag the little VA icon next to my url down to your bottom tool bar and from now on you can click on to access my site. Drag your often used folders to your tool bar, too. Easy!! Convenient!!

Delete your Temp file periodically. You'll be surprised how many files are deposited in your temp file.  Every visit to a web site seems to leave a little reminder in your temp folder. Your temp file is not easy to find, but it's also pretty simple to delete the contents once you know where to look. 
Go to My Computer
Local Disk (C:)
Documents and Settings
Select the folder with your name
Local Settings (It appears faded out as though you can't access it, but you can)
Open up the Temp Folder and select all files then delete. 
Say bye bye to those useless files that pile up.   Or, see Evidence Blaster below... it does the same thing.

Speaking of unwanted files... It is a good idea to invest some money and time into getting spy removal software.  I use Spyware Detector. You can use the free version to see how many spies are lurking in your computer.  It's an inexpensive program and you can schedule it to run automatically every day to keep your computer clean.  There are plenty of options to choose from so take some time to search the web for spy ware removal programs. One ding though, their customer service isn't superior.  That shouldn't be enough to keep you from checking out their web site.

Other software that has helped keep my files more private is Evidence Blaster. It cleans out the ugly little software snoops that are hard to access and buried in the depths of the system folders. It works quickly too.
